Q: Where can I participate in Senior Health Programs?
A: Senior Activity Center – 2101 Thomes Avenue, Cheyenne
Q: When are Health Related Activities offered?
A: Most Health Related opportunities are offered Monday through Friday at the Senior Activity Center from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some time specific activities offered throughout the week.
Q: Do I need to make a reservation?
A: No, unless otherwise stated.
Q: What do I need to do to participate in the Health Program?
A: An annual Intake/Evaluation Form and Release must be completed to participate in the Health Program.
Q: How is my personal information used?
A: Information obtained is a requirement for grants received from the State of Wyoming Aging Division and the Federal Administration on Aging. All information is securely kept and shared only with the State of Wyoming Aging Division.
Q: Who qualifies to participate in Health Activities?
A: Individuals who are 60 years of age or older, the spouse of someone 60 or older, or who are disabled and live in a facility with a senior meal site on location may participate in the meal program. Younger or non-qualifying individuals may participate in activities if space is available and not utilized by a qualified individual or senior.
Q: How much do Health Activities cost?
A: Informational seminars, blood pressure checks and aerobics are offered free to all participants. From time-to-time, discount certificates are offered for blood or health screenings. Use of exercise equipment is $10.00 per month or 3 months for $25.00.
Specialty exercise classes or medical testing opportunities vary in price.
